Hey TV lovers, Emmy Nominations Are In!

It's that time of year again TV lovers. The nominations for the 2014 Emmy's have been revealed. I may not watch a lot of the shows that were nominated due personal preference and lack of time, but I am happy to see that one of my favorite series, Sherlock, got a few nominations.

The show received a nomination for Outstanding TV Movie for the episode "His Last Vow", which is the

finale episode of season 3.

The talented and versatile Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the series title character Sherlock Holmes, got a nomination for Best Actor-TV Movie/Miniseries for the same episode. Benedict been quite busy the last year with performances in a few feature length films including Star Trek: Into Darkness, The Fifth Estate, The Hobbit:Desolation of Smaug, 12 Years a Slave, and August: Osage County.

His partner in crime, Martin Freeman, who plays Doctor John Watson, got a nomination as well for Best Supporting Actor- TV Movie/Miniseries and Best Actor for Fargo, which aired on FX. Like Cumberbatch, Freeman has been quite busy the last year with finishing up The Hobbit (he plays Bilbo Baggins), and starring in Fargo. He is currently playing Richard The Third on stage in the UK.

Steven Moffat and Nick Hurran got nominations for writing and directing. Although, the show is up against some awesome TV Movies and talents in everything from sound editing to costume, I'm hoping the Baker Street gang comes home with a win or two. Fingers crossed.

Among the other talented nominees we have the lovely Kerry Washington for Best Actress-Drama for
Kerry Washington at the 2014 Golden Globes
"Scandal" facing Claire Danes- "Homeland", Lizzy Caplan - "Masters of Sex", Michelle Dockery - "Downton Abbey", Julianna Marguilles - "The Good Wife", and Robin Wright - "House of Cards".

Bryan Cranston- "Breaking Bad" is going up against Jeff Daniels - "The Newsroom", Jon Hamm - "Mad Men", Woody Harrelson - "True Detective", Matthew McConaughey - "True Detective", Kevin Spacey- "House of Cards" for Best Actor- Drama.
